Am I the only one who sees Deviant Art as kind of stressful?

So maybe it's just me...

Deviant art is a site I seem to barely check anymore and whenever I log on, there are just more and more comments and journals and favourites and whatnot (which I'm flattered to get, and enjoy reading and such) and I find myself running away from it cause it's just so overwhelming.

Mostly though, I find myself embarrassed because I am terrible at leaving comments on artwork and replying to comments that I receive. I know I should leave comments, especially thoughtful and helpful ones. Unfortunately, I'm terrible at thinking up things to say so I rarely leave comments (especially when I'm going through the huge amount of lovely deviations that pile up in my inbox). There's so much wonderful art here on DA, but I'm horribly shy...

So that leads to a little bit of fretting and stress.

Lately I've been thinking of Deviant Art as a chore rather than something to have fun with. Another problem recently I've noticed of mine is that I hardly draw anything worth posting anymore. And if I do manage to make something nice, I usually don't finish it. I've got a heap of cruddy doodles and Works in Progress, but nothing worth showing anybody. But that I can work through on my own.

The only problem that I've mentioned that I'm stumped on solving is the writing of comments. Does anyone have any advice on leaving good, helpful comments on people's work, or ways to gradually get better at it?
